Trim Healthy Mama 30 Day Challenge & Recipe Link-up

Ladies!!  I have had this book for *a while* now.  I actually received this a few months before  The Patriarch’s Death, but hadn’t read it until some time later.

The Patriarch had such a funny sense of humor!
He asked me, “Will I look like *-that-* after eating this way??”  LOL

Um… no.

But I plan to!  😀

After he died I wasn’t doing much cooking.

Oh, we ate, but I don’t know as I could classify *it* as… food… lots of pre-packaged *stuff*.  ICK!

Despite eating some of *that stuff* more often than I care to admit and throwing in a THM meal here and there, I still lost 5 more pounds since The Patriarch’s funeral.  I had lost 10 pounds in the three weeks prior (I weighed on the 25th of January).

So… is anyone game to join me, along with Little Natural Cottage and eat this way for 30 days? If you click on the photo at the top of this post or the link in this paragraph, you can post your THM friendly recipes there.  The linky is good for the month of June.

Another dear friend (she was the genius behind the Big Blog Bash in April) is helping me with accountability in my daily schedule and menu planning.

I have a bare bones schedule all written out.  I used the same one I made a few years ago with a few tweaks.  I will use this one for a week or two and make what changes I need to in order to make it more workable and realistic.

It was so sad, the first achedule item I had to change was to remove The Patriarch from the list.  :-(
Wednesday is the 4th month anniversary of his death.  Thursday is our 26th wedding anniversary.

If you don’t have a copy of the THM book yet, do not despair!  You can join us at any time.  The recipes will be at LNC for you to enjoy when you are ready.

I will be continuing well after the 30 day challenge, as I have *a bit* of weight to take off.  😉  I also have some recipes I want to change to be THM friendly along with some other ideas and will post those as I get to some more recipe testing done.

My exercise of choice is T-Tapp along with walking.  We were encouraged to join the Y shortly after The Patriarch died and I am thankful we did.  It gets me out of the house and getting regular exercise!  I walk the track and Arrow uses the machines.  I may stop going to the Y in the summer (July & August) and walk at the park, hiking in the mountains or go biking on some old converted railroad-bed trails for a nice change of pace.

What are your plans to get in or stay in shape?

Blessings,  ~Aunt Mae

I need to do something as I have been on WW so long I think my system needs something different. I would like to lose 20 pounds.

Not sure I can commit until I know what you can eat. I do not eat fish. I am a pretty plain eater. Salads, green beans, baked potatoes(plain), fruits, whole wheat breads, etc. Of course I love desserts but do not fix them very often.(-:

      Hello Charlotte,
See if you can find a copy of the book in your library (though there is probably a l-o-v-g waiting list for it). The foods you can eat are pretty flexible. Join me any time!!
