Day Twenty Two : Watch out for Gibeonites....
It is the 22nd Day of 40 Day Fast and we need to pass everything, everyone and ourselves before God's "scanner" to determine if there is some unwanted things, people and stuff within and around us.
Because of terrorism, drug trafficking, money laundering, the "scanning system" in most countries border posts has become more sophisticated and specialized in order to see what is deeply concealed that might be unwanted or detrimental in the country. They know their enemies are sneaky and creepy like the serpent in Genesis 3.
The officials at the airport don't judge the book by it's cover and though you are clergy or nun you go through the scanner to determine if you are clean or kosher as Jews say it. As we have travelled to different parts of the world, we have been subjected to the "scanner" by different governments and found with nothing incriminating.
This last time when traveling to the USA, I was picked for a random check at Frankfurt, taken to a private room for thorough check. It was an uncomfortable experience which I had no choice about. I was eventually found clean and let to proceed with my journey.
In the realm of the Spirit, sometimes we are subjected to some random, intensive and uncomfortable tests which we have no choice about in order to determine what is in us. Read how Job was subjected to such a scanner in Job 1-3.
David in Psalms 139:23-24 is not afraid to ask God to take him through the scanner. "Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." You find the results of God's scan on David in Acts 13:22 where God says after a deep look that He has found David a man after His own heart. "And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’" Wow. What a testimonial from God for David. Can this be said of you or you have been put in the scales and found wanting? "Tekel: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting;" DANIEL 5:27.
I hope none of us will be pulled aside by the Heavens because they are incriminating things within us that will prevent us to enter our blessed destiny, victory or possession! I pray your requests during this 40 Days will not be rejected because of something you have refused to confess, submit or let go.
The story of how Joshua and Israel were deceived by the Gibeonites is epic and can make a very good movie. Gibeonites were very calculating unlike the other tribes. They did NOT fight Israel the way the other tribes fought Israel. They were not confrontational but very diplomatic, deceptive and dangerous! Joshua 9:8-9 says, "But they said to Joshua, “We are your servants.”And Joshua said to them, “Who are you, and where do you come from?”So they said to him: “From a very far country your servants have come, because of the name of the Lord your God; for we have heard of His fame, and all that He did in Egypt,." Joshua 9:14 says, "Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions; but they did not ask counsel of the Lord." It was only after three days that Joshua and the people discovered they had been duped, conned and deceived when they had already signed the treaty! Joshua did not take a deeper look at the Gibeonites by seeking God's counsel. What a painful reality! I hope you have not signed any treaty, contract, marriage certificate or business deal only to discover you were conned and it was a sham. wedding dresses for women over 40
The Gibeonites had horned the art of hiding their true identity. They were masters of acting. They pretended to be from a far country and yet they were the enemy next door! Be careful of Gibeonites who are masters of concealing their true identity. They might come to you using diplomacy but beware of the deception and danger!
I decree you shall not fall into the hands of a rapist masquerading as a sick brother (2 Samuel 13:1-33). I declare you will not fall into the hands of a killer masquerading like a sizzling lover (Judges 16:1-31). I decree you will not fall into the hands of a betrayer masquerading like a disciple treasurer (Matthew 26:47-56). This stories I have quoted here are Gibeonites manifesting in different setups.
I was fascinated how Judas in the last scripture I quoted gave Jesus a kiss to identify him as the target to be destroyed. I found this very interesting because in most cases in detective movies, it is women who are used to infiltrate the enemy camp through a "kiss". Beware of "Judas kisses". Could Judas be kissing you and setting you for destruction at the same time. Beware of those you bring close to you because they might not be who you think they are. Watch out for those with concealed identities.
It is important that any form of veil concealing the true identity of those seeking a closer walk with you be removed. I have always wondered how Laban concealed Leah to look like Racheal (Genesis 29:1-30). Leah and Racheal were completely different. Leah was not beautiful to behold, her physical features were nothing to write home about and her eyes were facing each other. Racheal, on the other hand, was every African man's dream, curvy, robust, symmetrical facial features, beautiful eyes and so much more that makes a woman attractive. Can you imagine how Jacob felt when he discovered the woman he was given on the wedding night is not the one he had fallen in love with. He received Leah instead of Racheal. Yhooo. "Leah" had been deceptively dressed like "Racheal" to conceal her true identity. Was Jacob given alcohol to make his vision foggy like the daughters of Lot made him drunk in order to sleep with him. Watch out for the tricks of the Gibeonites. Beware of Churches dressed up like Racheal and yet they are Leah. This Churches are cross-eyed. Their focus is wrong.
Of course you are aware how before this incident of Jacob been duped with the wrong woman, he himself had duped his father by concealing his true identity and stealing his brothers blessing. Rebecca overhead her husband Isaac speaking to his son Esau about a blessing he wanted to release to him. She was not happy about her husbands decision to bless Esau instead of Jacob. Rebecca decided with the collaboration of Jacob to intercept the blessing and divert it to Jacob (Genesis 27:1-27). They did what the Gibeonites did. Jacob dressed up like Esau, prepared food for his father like Esau, put up Esau perfume and was given a blessing for Esau. Crooks to the core!
I declare that your blessing shall not go to another in Jesus name. It is amazing how this same Jacob that duped his brother with the mother as the mastermind was duped by Laban! It looks like Gibeonites are a cartel and they are everywhere. Jacob got his match in Laban. Both were Gibeonites. Don't make the same mistake Joshua did by refusing to seek counsel from the Lord and those he has appointed in your life. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety."
I remember how many years ago, I was shocked when I saw the identity card of the mechanic who used to fix my cars. The picture on the card was his but the names on the card were South African names. This fella was Tanzanian who was using the identity of a South African. He was masquerading as someone else. Fraud and forgery of the highest order. I cut of from this Gibeonite immediately.
I decree that those using your identity to enjoy blessings that ought to be yours will be exposed in Jesus name. I decree that Leah will not intercept your husband to be if single. I decree the business opportunities meant for you will not be intercepted by Rebecca's and Jacobs.
Some years ago I wrote some prophetic word that went viral. Later in the year I discovered a fella had copy and pasted the same word, removed my name and put his. Another one went claiming a vision I hard seen was theirs. Watch out for Gibeonites. They are all over.
Please, put all your deliberations, decisions and deals through the divine scanner today through earnest prayer! Don't assume, presume, make a major decision until you do due diligence. Samuel almost missed it in the text below; "So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord's anointed is before Him!”But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:6-7
Pray for prophetic eyes that identify Gibeonites a mile away. Pray for your scanning abilities to go to an apostolic and prophetic level of distinction.
