About 6 years ago I began having issues with my arms and legs going numb, and severe pain in my left arm and wrist. I was told the numbness was from poor circulation issues and the wrist I didn't worry about much. Over the years it has gotten worse, specifically this year. Some days I have zero use of my left arm at all. So I finally decided it was bad enough to do something about it. After nerve testing, xrays, and blood work, the docs decided I had a pinched nerve somewhere in my neck so they did an MRI. I got the results today. Doctor came in and said I didn't have a pinched nerve but they had found a birth defect. In most people it causes no issues, in others it starts manifesting symptoms in early adulthood. I was 24 when they began. It seems there is a small hole in the base of my skull and a part of my cerebellum has herniated through it, applying pressure to the spine and nerves. I was definitely not expecting that little tid bit of information. It seems this has been a cause for other issues, fatigue, headaches, etc, as well that I had no idea were related. I'll be seeing a neurosurgeon soon and get a game plan to get this fixed before symptoms worsen. This has been one hell of a year midi sleeved wedding wears in knee length
